Here at Fieldstone, we take our responsibility seriously and work very hard to turn out tomorrow’s national competitors. This is a wonderful sport that teaches responsibility, commitment, problem solving skills, patience, respect and a good solid work ethic. We focus on safety and the basics. Whether you ride once a week for pleasure or are a serious competitor with a horse of your own, we are committed to teaching you the skills necessary to be a successful rider. We offer both a complete training program for horse and rider, quality lessons through our riding school and an exceptional Summer Camp for kids of all ages.
Michelle Pacyna
Owner & Trainer
Michelle has been a top trainer in the Ventura County for over 25 years, beginning with her coaching of the Cal Lutheran Riding Team in the 1980s. As a successful business owner of Fieldstone Riding Club since 1985, she has brought up several of the nation’s top riders, many who are now professionals teaching their own students. Career highlights include multiple medal final winners, IEL champions, USHJA Zone 10 champions, and most recently a 2019 USHJA Zone 10 Children's Jumper Team gold medal winner.
Erika Henaghan
Trainer
Erika Henaghan was born with the horse bug. She started riding at age 7, and was in the show ring by 8. Erika rode with Leslie Steele as a junior and enjoyed much success in the equitation division and medals, including winning the AHSA (now USEF) regionals in 1987. Erika turned professional in 1995 and operated Dragonfly Equestrian in Malibu. In 2000, Erika met her husband Kelley, and soon meshed her business with her well known father-in-law Michael Henaghan of Traditional Show Jumping in Hidden Hills. Years later, Michael moved back east and Dragonfly Equestrian was back in business at Acres West in Calabasas. In 2015, she semi retired to spend more time with her family. Now, her kids are older and she went back to work, this time at Fieldstone Riding Club in Moorpark. She enjoys the fun and productive environment there, and especially loves working with young riders.
